Election Results & Looking Ahead (11-13-2024)

A week after last Tuesday’s election, we are all still sizing-up the impacts and the challenges ahead. The deep divisions across the country remind us of the critical work to be done. Hamilton Campaign Network has remained resolute in our mission to elect candidates committed to a more inclusive and equitable future and is proud of our successes this election cycle.

Nationally, our work supporting key candidates for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) led to the re-election of Latina Congressmember Marie Gluesenkamp Perez in Washington's 3rd district, as well as flipping four critical seats: Laura Gillen (NY-04), Josh Riley (NY-19), John Mannion (NY-22), and Janelle Bynum (OR-05). While control of the House remains uncertain, we are proud to have secured victories in each of our five assigned races – expanding the New York Democratic delegation and strengthening the leadership position of Leader Hakeem Jeffries as he continues his strong and sensible leadership protecting our families and communities.

Additionally, our efforts with Latino Victory to drive Latino turnout in Arizona contributed to a historic win for Rep. Ruben Gallego who will become the first Latino U.S. Senator for the state.

In New York State, our efforts with the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee (DACC) generated 11 victories, maintaining a supermajority for Speaker Carl Heastie. These wins included holding open seats on Long Island and in the Hudson Valley and Judy Griffin’s flip of the 21st district on Long Island.

And finally, in other campaign news, we celebrate the victory of our close friend, NYS Senator Nathalia Fernandez, who was resoundingly re-elected to the State Senate.

The road ahead may indeed be challenging, but at Hamilton Campaign Network, we are deeply committed to the path forward. We will continue working with our partners to build the political infrastructure necessary for future victories and building a stronger, fairer America.
